Kwikset in Denison announced this week an upgrade in their production thanks to a large sum of money.
After years of negotiations, Black and Decker approved a request by the plant to receive $6.5 million. The money will go toward purchasing multiple tools and state-of-the-art diecast machines, improving the plant's status as a zinc supplier.
Plant officials hope the money will bring in new jobs and create a positive image of the plant in the community.
Stay tuned to First News and KXII.com for a look at how this budget increase will bring money and new jobs to Texoma.
