A house fire in Sherman on Thursday night hurt three people, including a Sherman firefighter. The fire happened around 10 p.m. Thursday on Colbert Street in Sherman. When crews arrived on the scene, flames were coming through the roof of the home.
Among the three injured is a 54-year-old man, who was flown to Parkland Hospital in Dallas with third degree burns. He is listed in stable condition.
A 36-year-old woman was treated and released for smoke inhalation, and a Sherman firefighter was treated at Wilson N. Jones for smoke. He will also be okay.
Investigators think the cause of the fire was candled left unattended.
