Ardmore Parks and Recreation officials are asking residents for their input to improve the city's parks. They want to make the city more relaxing, and they want your suggestions and feedback.
Residents will have the chance to voice their opinions at two town meetings this week. Ardmore has four lakes, a public golf course, and the HFV Wilson Community Center, but Parks and Recreation officials say those facilities are underused.
Now officials are considering adding special recreational programs like athletic leagues and special events. Before they do so, they want to hear from you.
Concerns raised at the meetings will be used to create a questionnaire that will be mailed to 1,000 Ardmore residents. The University of Arkansas will take the results and input from the Park Advisory Board and create a plan of action.
The meetings will take place on Monday, January 29, at the HFV Wilson Community Center, and Tuesday, January 30, at the Ardmore Convention Center. Both meetings are scheduled for 6 p.m.
The meetings are open to the public and Parks and Recreation officials urge anyone interested to come and give their opinions.
