Just days after the announcement of a $6.5 million upgrade, Kwikset says that part of their plant will be shut down.
The lever operations division will be shutting down. Plant officials say that they have been in contact with the employees that work in the division to let them know what is going on. But, they say that no large layoffs are expected.
The 6.5 million dollars given to the plant by its parent company Black and Decker will be used to by tools and die-cast machines.
