12-16-03 - It's the season of giving, but in Texoma, people just aren't giving enough. Several area charities are suffering at a time when they usually bring in money for year-round services.

The Salvation Army is just one of several local charities facing a tough situation this holiday season.

More families are in need and there’s not enough donations coming in. It’s literally leaving some out in the cold. They aren't the only Christmas charity finding itself in dire straits.

The area Toys for Tots program has over 60 percent more families to help out this year, but with toy donations lacking, they're forced to do more with less.

KXII is helping sponsor the toy drive, trying to get toys to more than 10,000 area children this year.

If you’d like to donate, drop a toy off at either the Sherman or Ardmore studios, or see the drop-off site list on this website.
