Early Christmas; Toys Handed Out to Local Children

12-17-03 - It was a great example of the generosity of Texomans today as dozens of families walked away with toys for their children in Ardmore. Volunteers teamed up with the US Marine Corps to hand out thousands of toys as part of the annual Toys for Tots drive in Carter County. But the KXII Toys for Tots drive isn’t over yet. More than 15,000 toys have been donated so far, with a goal of 22,000 by early next week. There are several ways you can help. Matt Brown and Lisanne Anderson will be waiting tables at the Cotton Patch Cafe in Denison on Thursday night as part of Celebrity Waiter night. The annual event raises money for Toys for Tots by donating all tips and a portion of the food proceeds.
