City leaders in Ardmore braved the elements Thursday morning to break ground on a new $15,000,000 water plant. The new plant will be built next to the old one north of town off Commerce.
This comes after the city was forced to ration water after two pumps went down last summer when the aging facility could not keep up with residents' water usage.
The new plant will double the water capacity in Ardmore and will be able to remain operational during a power outage.
