12/28/03-- One man was killed in an accident on I-35 in Gainesville Sunday night; four other people were flown to area hospitals in critical condition.

Investigators are still trying to piece together exactly what happened, but they believe the driver of a northbound car overcorrected and crossed the median into southbound traffic, where it was hit by a van.
The car flipped several times and the driver was killed. Three of his passengers, and one person in the van, were flown from the scene.

Troopers are not releasing the identities of the victims or where they are from. Investigators believe the car was headed to Oklahoma and the van to McKinney, Texas.
