DURANT, OK -- Two people were arrested late Thursday night in Durant on narcotics charges. Durant Police say an officer pulled up on two parked cars in the 1700 block of Sunnyside around 11 p.m. when Curtis Soester told the officer his car was overheating. Rachel Buckingham was parked in a car behind Soester's.
When police saw no signs of the car overheating, they noticed Buckingham acting nervous and asked to search her vehicle. Inside police found several blue pills that were later identified as Lortab.
Police also found marijuana and a baggy with white residue inside Soester's vehicle.
Both were transported and booked into the Bryan County Jail.
