LAMAR COUNTY, OK -- The death of an infant whose body was found in the community of Powderly, Texas, is now under investigation. Emergency workers reportedly found the baby's body was discovered wrapped in a towel inside a bag Thursday morning.

Sources close to the investigation say it looks like someone was trying to hide the body. They say the dead infant was one of two babies born yesterday morning in a Powderly home.

A grandmother living in the home heard a baby crying. She then discovered her granddaughter had given birth to a baby boy and called 911.

When the granddaughter was evaluated at Paris Regional Hospital, medical workers found two placentas and called law enforcement. They then found the twin baby girl's body.

Sources say the autopsy has been completed, and the baby's body is now back in Lamar County for the funeral. The twin boy is recovering in a Dallas hospital. We're told he is in CPS custody, and another child, a13 month old, is also being removed from the mother's custody.

The mother, whose name has not been released, remains hospitalized.

The Lamar County Sheriff's Office is investigating.
