1-02-04 - It has been four years since death of a Gainesville toddler, but Friday, the family of Jorden Saager is seeing justice.

The prime suspect, Kim Stevens, faced the judge and capital murder charges Friday in an arraignment hearing. Stevens was the babysitter at the time that Jorden died. The Medical Examiner ruled Jorden’s cause of death blunt force trauma. She had a three-and- a-half-inch skull fracture and several internal injuries.

Kim Stevens was arrested on Dec. 15 after new evidence was made clear. However, the District Attorneys office will not comment on exactly what the new evidence in the case is. Stevens is facing capital murder charges. Stevens has maintained her innocence. Her trial is set for March 18.
