Grayson County Health Department officials say they are gearing up to give the HPV vaccine, following a recent executive order from Governor Rick Perry.
The agency has ordered the vaccine and officials say they expect it to arrive around March 1st.
The cost is expected to be around ten dollars and should be available to girls between nine and 18 years of age.
Immunization nurses say they have seen hundreds of women with HPV over the years, and say the public needs to look past the controversy surrounding the vaccine.
Oklahoma Health officials say they have formed an immunization advisory committee that is expected to discuss what stance they will take on the vaccination issue.
