Police Pursuit Ends After Car Crashes Into a Building

1-07-04 - What started as a routine traffic stop for Paris Police quickly turned into a pursuit and crash. It happened around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday morning. Authorities say 21 year old Leslie Kelly was pulled over but as police started to get out of the car he drove off. The pursuit lasted about 5 minutes before Kelly ran his car into the Flexi-O-LIght business along 19th Northwest Street. Kelly was arrested and charged with evading arrest. Two passengers were traveling with him. One of those was arrested for public intoxication. Authorities believe the car Kelly was driving was stolen.
