1-8-04 - Over 100 job openings at Sherman’s soon to open Target location drew quite a crowd today. Around 200 people lined up Thursday morning outside Workforce Texoma in Denison. By the day's end, 800 people applied.
The new store is set to open March 7. Company officials expect 4,000 people to apply during the three-day job fair. Although no one will be hired immediately, everyone turning in an application will be interviewed twice, and some of those folks will be called back and possibly offered a job. Target would not offer specifics on what a new employee can expect to be paid.
The store manager did say that salaries will be comparable to other retail jobs in the area.
