Texoma area Boy Scouts want to remind the public to put groceries out Saturday morning. The scouts dropped yellow bags off at homes around town last weekend.
They will be by Saturday morning around 10am to pick up food. Scout leaders say to put nonperishable goods in the yellow bags and have them on your front porch for pick-up.
"It comes at such a good time because we do it right after Christmas, after the holidays when the food pantries are depleted," said Sandi Logan, with the Texoma Valley council of Boy Scouts. "They're desperately in need of your donations."
If you didn't receive a yellow bag and would like to donate, call your local Boy Scout office at 903-893-2130 or 903-893-2135.
