1-9-04 - Authorities may have a suspect in one of Texoma’s oldest unsolved murders. It’s a cold case that dates back to 1985, with the murder of an 8-year-old Celina girl.

Angela Comacho had been playing near the Celina football field on the night of May 3, 1985. Hours later authorities would find her little body. She'd been strangled and left in a nearby creek bed. Police searched for clues in the case but turned up nothing that led to her killer.

The case lay dormant until last month when the Collin County District Attorney’s office reopened it. In a mere three weeks the office has announced they have a suspect. But they're saying little else. They won't even reveal if it's a man or a woman.

Right now they’re waiting on the results of DNA tests that they hope will strengthen their case against the unnamed suspect.
