12-14-04 - Firefighters had to fight the fog before they could even get to the flames this morning in Carter County. They worked on extinguishing the fire for hours at a doctor's office in the small town of Wilson.

Firefighters arrived on the scene around 8 a.m.. The entire two-story building located on Ash and Rotary streets was fully engulfed.

For the past 50 years the building has been the office of Dr. Norma Rector. It was a place where woman could deliver their babies, instead of going to the hospital.

No word yet on what caused the fire. No one was injured.
