An Antlers Police Officer who was dragged by a car today is recovering.
Officer Jason Thomas was dragged about 50 feet after a scuffle with a suspected drug dealer Tuesday afternoon.
Antlers Police Chief Dwayne Morgan says Thomas approached a car in the parking lot of a local business. When he asked the driver for a license, the suspect took off.
The chief says Thomas tried to grab the car's gear shift, but the driver closed the door on his arm.
Police are looking for the suspect who was last seen driving a white, 1989 Toyota Camry with Arkansas plates.
Thomas suffered scrapes and bruises.
