Man Trapped in Truck

1-25-04-- A rollover accident in Sherman Sunday night traps a truck driver in his vehicle and sends him to the hospital in serious condition.

But paramedics spent more than an hour removing the man from the truck with the jaws of life. It happened about 7 p.m. on the northbound service road of Hwy 75 about one mile south of Fallon Drive. Sherman police say the driver of the Chevy truck lost control of the vehicle, left the roadway, and hit a tree.

He was transported to Wilson N. Jones Medical Center in critical condition, but was later upgraded to stable condition. Police are not sure exactly what caused the accident, but they believe speed might have played a factor.
