1-26-04 - The Grayson County Airport is bringing in more jobs to the area. Known as Project Engine, the Sherman Economic Development Corporation and the Denison Development Alliance welcomed Best Jet Limited to the airport.
The business overhauls jet engines and is an expansion of Best Aeronet. SEDCO and DDA members approved a tax abatement agreement Monday night and cleared the way for the company to start business. They'll make an initial $1.7 million investment and employ 58 people. Many of the jobs could pay over $50,000 a year. Another business that recently moved into the airport employs 30 people.
Lightcraft Electronic Displays makes electric signs and plans to continue expanding.
