While construction of State Highway 289 is months away, making sure utilities are taken care of is a top priority for cities along the new road. Pottsboro has a meeting scheduled for March 6, and City Manger Kevin Farely says Pottsboro will be ready when the time rolls around.
"If we're gonna dig them up and move them now, we may as well take advantage of that situation and up-size those lines and incur that cost now for potential future development."
