A New York recording studio is calling Ardmore home thanks to funding from a local corporation. Imtec board chairman Dr. Ron Bullard visits New York frequently on business. It was there he met up with a trio of up-and-coming songwriters and artists.

He convinced them to move to Southern Oklahoma to jump start Juell Records as an Imtec subsidiary. The studio will be housed in old First National Bank building downtown and serve as a recording, producing, and publishing company.

The president of Juell Publishing, Derrick Harvey, says the new label is already well on its way.

"It's running full speed ahead we've got our first album completely made within studio in Ardmore should be completed this month and you'll be hearing it hopefully on your local radio station."

Watch First News on Friday when we go inside the Juell Studio and what it means for Southern Oklahoma.
