2-3-04 - A missing persons case in Texas may have come to a deadly ending in southern Oklahoma. Laura Lee Crane, a retired professor from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, disappeared on Friday while running errands. Two days later, Oklahoma City police found the 77 year old woman's car being driven by 31 year old Edward Busby and 39 year old Kathleen Latimer. On Tuesday around mid-afternoon, authorities found a body just off an I-35 service road near Davis, Oklahoma. FBI and OSBI agents, along with Ft. Worth police converged on Sooner road in Murray county. Officials won't say if the body found is that of the missing professor. But there is a strong possibility that the case has come to an end in Texoma. Oklahoma City police detained Busby on charges of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, driving with a suspended license and making an improper right turn. Authorities arrested Latimer on charges of possession of a controlled/dangerous substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
