Convenience Store Burns in Marietta

2-06-04 - Flames erupted early Friday morning from a convenience store just outside of the Marietta city limits. The building and an apartment attached were both a complete loss. Firefighters worked to put out the flames for over three hours. The store, Laura's Place, is located on East Main Street. The owner, Laura Anderson, was home at the time, but escaped without injury. Three volunteer fire departments responded to the scene around 3am.
