Garbage collectors in Collinsville came across a shocking discovery this morning. One employee saw a trash bag moving, and inside was a puppy.
The bag had been tied at the top and had no air holes. Employees say they were surprised the dog was still alive.
So they decided to adopt the puppy and call her Lucky.
Eric McKnight was shocked at the discovery.
"You know it's just not right to put it in the trash and throw it away. It's not trash. It's a living, breathing thing."
The Grayson County Sheriff's Department says an animal cruelty complaint has been filed and they are investigating.
