Gas Prices Climbing

(Oklahoma City-AP) -- The price of gasoline across Oklahoma and Texas and the nation continues to rise.

Triple-A Oklahoma says the average price for a gallon of
self-serve regular in Oklahoma is $1.57 cents per gallon. The price in Oklahoma is tied for second lowest in the nation, one-tenth of a cent higher than Georgia and the same as in South Carolina. Texas gas prices average out at just under $1.58 per gallon.

In Oklahoma City the average price is almost $1.56 cents per gallon, up more than 5.5 cents from last week. The average in Tulsa is just
more than $1.57 per gallon, an increase of more than eight cents since last week.

The national average for a gallon of gas is almost $1.71 per gallon, up nearly three cents from a week ago.
