The Carter County Health Department is adding on to make room for the Emergency Response Team. This morning commissioners awarded a Sulphur construction company the $196,000 bid to renovate the health department's office on Washington Street in Ardmore.
Soon they will break ground on six new offices that will house radio and communication equipment for the response team. They will also build shower facilities and resurface the alley.
The department is looking at expanding the child guidance and nutrition program. This will give them the avenue to do that.
The project should wrap up within the next four months.
