Car Burglary Thefts Solved - Suspect Arrested

2-17-04 - An arrest in Ardmore is especially good news for the dozens of victims of auto burglaries. Police arrested Dustin Hayes on a probation violation last week, but discovered thousands of dollars of stolen stereo equipment in his home.

Their investigation led to a total of $15,000 in stereos and car parts, all stolen in the past few weeks in northwest Ardmore.

Police believe Hayes could be connected to 25 to 30 auto burglaries, and that others may be involved. Right now they’re still trying to return the stolen items to their original owners.
