A freak accident occurred at a church near Whitewright today when a building collapsed.
Three people are recovering after a building under construction collapsed around 1 p.m. Friday at the construction project at Kentuckytown Baptist Church.
Witnesses say the structure gave way, injuring three members of the construction crew and putting the project on hold.
"I just praise the Lord that no one was killed because there could have been a loss of life here. You know you can rebuild building, but you only get to live once," said Pastor Greg Allen.
