3-12-04 The 1245 National Guard Transportation Unit greeted with tears and cheers in Ardmore Friday. After a year working for Operation Iraqi Freedom, the 102 men and women from the 1245 finally made it home. Friends and Family packed the Ardmore Middle School Gym around seven o'clock to greet their soldiers. The unit worked along the front lines transporting goods to other soldiers in Iraq. They were among the lucky ones - everyone made it home safely. Friends and family said they sent them off a year ago as soldiers but brought them home Friday as conquering heros.
