3-15-04 - A father and son are dead and another man is in critical condition after a fiery crash Sunday night near Whitewright. Just before 8 pm, 19 year old David Macomber, on his way back from National Guard duty, crossed the center line on highway 69, just two miles north of Whitewright. His vehicle hit another car head on, killing 39 year old Lonnie Andrews and his 15 year old son Joshua. Their car burst into flames on impact. David Macomber is in critical condition at Parkland Hospital in Dallas, after suffering head and internal injuries. Whitewright police do not believe alcohol was involved.
