3-18-04 Construction of Ardmore's new convention center is building to its big grand opening. Eight months ago the city broke ground on the eight million dollar project along North Rockford Road. Now they're already booking events. The center is pre-booked for 14 events; the first will be a dinner for five hundred people to be held July 25th. That's just days after the July 19th scheduled completion date. Of course funding for the convention center is from taxpayer dollars.
