FANNIN COUNTY, TX -- An accident around 11 a.m. Wednesday on U.S. Highway 82 had traffic backed up just east of Bonham. Authorities say a Buick LaSabre was traveling eastbound when it veered across the center line and collided with a westbound semi.

The driver of the Buick, 43-year-old Tammy Morales of Hugo, was flown by air ambulance to a hospital. Morales says she can't remember what happened. DPS Troopers say while they're not sure yet what caused the crash, their best advice to avoid potentially dangerous accidents is simple.

"Always pay attention, make sure you're looking ahead. Mainly just make sure you're paying attention," Sr. Cpl. Kevin Verner, Texas DPS, says.

Troopers are investigating the cause of the crash.
