ARDMORE, OK -- Students at Charles Evans Elementary School in Ardmore and Lone Grove Schools received the H1N1 FluMist Thursday morning.

Rachel Moore, a registered nurse at the Carter County Health Department, was stationed at Charles Evans around 9 a.m. Moore says the department brought 180 doses of flu-mist and by 10:30, only 36 doses were left.

Next week Moore says they will target Plainview Schools on Wednesday and Will Rogers on Thursday. Moore says there will also be am additional clinic this weekend.

"They definitely need to get it with the season changing and stuff like that, and we are having a Boo clinic at the health department on Saturday, so students can come and get their flu vaccine at the health department," she says.

Moore says the Boo clinic starts at 9 a.m. Saturday. To find out more about the clinic and if you’re eligible for the vaccines, call the Carter County Health Department at 580-223-9705.
