A Durant man was electrocuted and killed while working on a billboard sign earlier today. The incident actually happened near McAlester.
Investigators say 41-year-old Alan Van Zandt was changing a billboard sign when he was electrocuted by a nearby power line.
A metal rod Van Zandt removed from the sign is believed to have come too close to the electric line and cause an electrical arc.
