Hunting for Rattlesnakes

04-10-04- A cold and windy day left some rattlesnake hunters in Waurika searching hard for the slithering creatures. Thousands of people got an up close and personal look at the Western Diamondhead rattlesnakes Saturday.

Folks got the chance to learn how to milk, skin, and even hunt the reptiles.

All of the proceeds from the event go to help the Waurika Fire Department. The department says the hunt help cut down on the over population of rattlesnakes in the area.

This is the 43rd year for the event.
