HOWE - Students at Howe Elementary have banded together to raise money for cancer patients in a unique way.
For the last ten days, students have raised over $2,600 in coins.
The program, “Pennies for Patients,” benefits those suffering from leukemia and lymphoma.
To help motivate the students, school officials organized various competitions to see who brought the most money.
