Suspect In Triple Murder Arraigned
3-30-04 - On Monday night, 21 year old Andre Thomas was arraigned and his bond set at 1 million dollars. Thomas is charged with one count of capital murder for the stabbing death of his estranged wife Laura.

03-30-04 - On Monday night, 21 year old Andre Thomas was arraigned and his bond set at 1 million dollars. Thomas is charged with one count of capital murder for the stabbing death of his estranged wife Laura.

Thomas was booked into the Grayson County Jail Monday afternoon. He is under 24 hour suicide watch inside the jail. Additional charges are expected to be filed for the murders of 13 month old Leyha Hughes and for Thomas' 4 year old son Andre.

The three bodies were discoveredd by Laura's father in their Arrowwood Apartment Saturday morning. All three were mutilated. A search warrant affidavit says Thomas confessed to the crime. The official cause of death for all three victims is multiple, sharp force injuries to the chest.

Visitation is tonight from 6pm to 8pm in the chapel at Waldo Funeral Home. Funeral services for the family will be tomorrow at 2pm at Fairview Baptist Church in Sherman.
