Nichols Trial Turns to McVeigh Link

(McAlester-AP) -- Testimony today in the murder trial of Oklahoma City bombing conspirator Terry Nichols has focused on items found in the car of bomber Timothy McVeigh.

FBI Agent William Eppright the third says anti-government leaflets and documents were found in the car McVeigh was driving when he was arrested on an unrelated charge.

An Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper stopped McVeigh for driving a
car with no license plate about 80 minutes after the. McVeigh was
stopped about 80 miles north of Oklahoma City.

Also scheduled to testify today is Arkansas gun dealer Roger Moore, whose Hot Springs, Arkansas, home was robbed in November 1994. Prosecutors say Nichols took part in the home-invasion robbery and that guns stolen in the robbery were sold to finance the bombing.

Nichols faces 161 state murder charges and prosecutors are
seeking the death penalty.
