WNJ Board Elects New Members

4-13-04 - Wilson N. Jones Medical Center has elected two new members to their board of directors. Dr. Mack Castleberry and Joe Rushing will take on the responsibilities immediately.

Dr. Castleberry is a retired Radiologist who started his practice in 1957 and retired in 1990. He has been involved with the Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and United Way and served as a board member and as the Medical Director of Home Hospice. He currently serves on the American Bank of Texas Board (he is a charter member and has been on the board since 1963). Dr. Castleberry also serves on the WNJ Bio Ethics Committee and the WNJ Foundation Board.

Castleberry and his wife Patti have two children and four grandchildren. They are members of St. Stephens Episcopal Church.

Also elected to the Board of Directors of Wilson N. Jones Medical Center is Joe Rushing, Owner and President of Rushing Paving Company, a local highway construction company. He began Rushing Paving 23 years ago and currently employs approximately 175 people.

Rushing serves as a board member for American Bank of Texas and Grayson County Airport and is a member of First United Methodist Church in Sherman. He and his wife Beverly have two daughters and five grandchildren.

Both Castleberry and Rushing strongly believe in the importance of good quality health care and want to assist in making improvements to the systems that support the healthcare delivery to our communities.
"We are delighted to have the knowledge and experience of both to serve on the WNJ Board," states Bill Benton, WNJ Board Chair. "They will be great assets to the Board."

Southeastern Spring Commencement set for May 11

Posted: 05/07/13 - DURANT, Okla. – Regent Terry Matlock will deliver remarks at Southeastern Oklahoma State University’s Spring Commencement, scheduled for Saturday, May 11, at Paul Laird Field. Austin College Commencement Celebration Nearing
