Golden Algae - Gone for Now

(Lake Texoma-AP) -- A biologist says a fish kill at Lake Texoma
appears to be over for the spring and summer. Paul Mauck of the state Department of Wildlife Conservation says there are no more fish dying and says fishing is good.

Golden alga is blamed for the kill that left a half million fish dead. Most of the dead fish were shad and on the Texas side of the lake.

Fish kills from golden alga are less likely during warm weather and biologists are optimistic the kills have ended at least until next winter.
