(Grand Junction, Colorado-AP) -- Michael Blagg has been convicted in the 2001 shooting death of his wife, an Ardmore native, and sentenced to life in prison. Blagg was also convicted of abusing a corpse and other charges in the death of Jennifer Blagg.
A Colorado jury deliberated less than 12 hours after a monthlong
trial that included more than 100 witnesses.
Defense attorney David Eisner said an appeal was automatic.
Blagg reported his wife and 6 year old daughter, Abby, missing
in November 2001. He later went on television to plea for help in
finding them.
34 year old Jennifer Blagg was found with a bullet in her skull in a western Colorado landfill seven months after she vanished. Abby is missing and presumed dead.
