A robbery at Sherman convenience store has left one woman behind bars.

Sherman police say at around three o’clock Thursday morning, 39-year-old Tracy Guyton walked into the shell station at 2510 U.S. Highway 75 and Lamberth.

Police say after being in the bathroom for a long time. She walked out and approached the counter holding a knife, and told the clerk, “I don’t want to do this, but there is a man outside making me.”

She then took the undetermined amount of money and left the location on foot.

“She was suspicious of the individual when she came into the store. She did go into the bathroom for an extended period of time and stayed there,” said Lieutenant Bob Fair of the Sherman Police Department.

Sherman police say they caught up to the suspect later in the 100 block of West Lamberth and found her knife and the jacket she was wearing.
