Bryan County accident temporarily shuts down 69/75

DURANT -- An accident in Bryan County shut down a section of Highway 69-75 northbound for about an hour this morning just before 10 o’clock.

Durant police say an 18-wheeler collided with a black pickup truck.

Officials say the driver of the pickup was transported by Bryan County EMS.

His condition is unknown.

The driver of the semi truck was not injured.

The accident is still under investigation.

Highway 69-75 has opened back up, and traffic is running smoothly.

    something is going to have to be done about the stretch of hwy. through Calera. a LOT of local folks have nicknamed it "the dead zone".

    Seems this become just about a daily event on 69-75 in the Calera to Durant area.

    Another reason There should be an investigation for the 69-75 hiway. After this week. I hope they do a thorough investigation.
