Former Congressman Facing Charges

4-20-04 Former Congressman Wes Watkins could face charges for a deadly accident Monday. Wes Watkins was driving on highway 177 near Stillwater when he ran into the back of stopped car that was turning left. Inside that car the parents of five children. Both died when their vehicle crossed into the oncoming lane. They were hit by a semi. Now authorites say Watkins could face a misdemeanor charge of negligent homicide. It carries a possible one year jail sentent. But authorities say it is doubtfull they will ask for jail time.
