Drug bust in Sherman

SHERMAN -- Sherman police made a big drug bust over the weekend.

It happened just before six o'clock Saturday night at the Crossroads Motel on Texoma Parkway.

Police say after receiving a call that someone was threatened with a gun and a machete, they found the suspect, Abraham Tapia, 22, sitting on top of the hood of his car when they arrived.

Inside the vehicle they found 22 grams of cocaine, marijuana, digital scales, a pistol, a machete, ammunition, and other paraphernalia. The cocaine was packaged for sale.

Tapia was arrested and charged with possession of cocaine with intent to deliver and possession of marijuana.

The case is under investigation.

    Well, duh! This is just one of many crack motels we have in the area. Good for Sherman PD.

    He needs to go to jail for about 20 years or more.
