04-24-04- Capturing that once in a lifetime video of a tornado can be thrilling, but it isn't always so safe. A Madill man got that thrill of a lifetime Friday night, when a funnel cloud dropped from the sky, while his camera was rolling.
Luckily, the funnel went back up into the clouds and never touched the ground, but the man has been sharing the video with folks around town and the reaction is always the same-- from wide eyes to dropped jaws!
Some who saw the video today say they'll use it as a reference for what to watch for in severe weather situations.
But those who work in emergency management say to use caution when shooting severe weather video and to always make sure you take protective cover.
