4-26-04 - A Collinsville woman and the man who saved her life were reunited Monday, one week after a dramatic rescue.
Patty Attaway says she wouldn't be alive if Jarett Jobe hadn't risked his life to save her. Jobe was awoken Monday night by his wife, who saw a car on fire in their neighbor’s yard. Attaway had been in an accident and was trapped inside that car.
But Jobe came to the rescue – pulling Attaway from the car, which was engulfed in flames moments later.
Monday, as they met at the accident scene, Attaway tried to find the words to thank Jobe and told him about her 10 year old daughter who had made him a card.
The Southmayd police department and city council are planning to present Jobe with a special life-saving award.
