SHERMAN -- Some Sherman students are ready to take on the TAKS test. Seventh and eighth grade students packed the Pinter Middle School gym for a pep rally to get them ready for the test.

This year's slogan: "tackling the TAKS test." The students played educational games, listened to motivational speakers, and some of them even took home a couple of prizes.

The TAKS test runs from next Tuesday to Friday. The first subject to be tested is math.
