LINDSAY, TX -- The city of Lindsay, Texas, showed their true colors for one of their own. First grader Lily Dieter is battling Leukemia, but she's not alone in the fight. At Friday night's Lady Knights volleyball game, both Lindsay and Blue Ridge players donned pink uniforms, and the crowd proudly put on the rosy color as part of a Pink Out for Lily.

Wednesday, Coach Bridget Anderle and the team handed over a check to Lily and her mother Laura, for $12,000 dollars, raised by the event.

"It was just a wonderful blessing and very overwhelming," said Lily's mother Laura Dieter. "There's so much love in the community for my little girl."

"I wanted to do something ping, instead of taking it to worldwide level of breast cancer awareness," said Bridget Anderle. "Why not do something for Lily? She's right here in our community. That's pretty much the idea and we ran with it."

We're told last Friday's game drew the biggest crowd of the year so far for the Lady Knights.
